CBD Tea: Five Homemade Recipes

It’s common knowledge that CBD tea can be good for your health. Teas have been used in the East for millennia, and most of the rest of the world has since adopted this drink as one of their own. In fact, research has shown that tea really does have a number of effects, from influencing sleep cycles to improving mood.

And with the popularity of CBD always increasing, it was only a matter of time before someone combined it with tea. In today’s article, we will be giving you our 5 top CBD tea recipes to try out at home.

What is CBD Tea?
CBD tea is quite self-explanatory. It’s the tea that has added CBD to it. It must be noted that hemp tea also exists; this refers to tea made by brewing the flowers and leaves of the hemp plant, steeping them in the same way you would tea leaves.

This provides some cannabinoids of its own, along with the unique flavor of hemp. Some manufacturers of ready-made CBD teas sell it in hemp tea form, with extra CBD added to ensure a consistent cannabinoid content.

Often, though, CBD just refers to any tea that has had CBD added to it. No matter your favorite kind of tea, you can make a CBD tea out of it.

Tips for Making CBD Tea

It is important to note that you cannot just drop your CBD oil into a cup of tea and call it a day.

Cannabinoids like CBD are hydrophobic, meaning they do not mix with water. As a result, they must have a fatty substance to which they can bind. This is why you must use a variety of tea that goes well with milk so that the CBD can mix well with the water.

By doing this, you are increasing the bioavailability of the CBD and thus making the whole beverage more effective.

Hot water
Almond milk
Sugar, honey, or another sweetener
